Seasonal eating is more important than you may imagine. On one hand, it’s very satisfying to find tomatoes in the winter and squash in the summer. But, there are a buffet of reasons that eating seasonally is beneficial to your health.

1. You Deserve Fresh Food

Eating foods grown in season will ensure freshness. If it’s not native to the season, then it must have traveled from another country or another state, meaning more preservatives are required for it to reach you. Ingesting unnatural preserves harms your body, so choose the alternate route and choose to eat fresh produce.
